In the fall of 2014 Mark Tomlin suggested a Bull Roast to help us fund this history site, as at the time I was mentioning how we had just paid for several years hosting, and was reminded of our domain registration. Marty Disney seconded that suggestion and jumped on board willing to help, then the two drafted Kathy Irwin Conrad to run the show, and she did a great job, contacting a hall, and setting date if 18 April, 2015. Before we knew it, Mark Keller was all in with his band Head Rush. It didn't take long before the day had come, people came from as far as Florida, the Carolinas, and even Dundalk... Maryland, not Ireland. The party started, the food was great, the company was better, and we all had one hell of a time. When it was all said and done, many of the people that came, asked that we do it again, that it be an annual event. So I asked Kathy (she said she would be retiring after this one) but, people do what they are good at, and she rocks at this, so there was no way she couldn’t turn us down. In short, for those that were there this year, we will see you again next year…, and those that were not…, we hope to see you at the 2nd annual, Baltimore City Police History Reunion.

It is not just the holiday season approaching, but that time of year again whereby we schedule our next semi-annual BCPD Luncheon in Orlando, Florida.  It will be on 26 February 2015, 12 noon at BJ’s Brewmaster, located at 8761 Vineland Avenue, Orlando, FL, 32821, .

It’s difficult to imagine it has been 4-years since Tim Markland had the concept of arranging a luncheon for retired officers now residing or visiting Florida. The initial luncheon entailed just 6 of us from BCPD and 1 active Florida FWC Police Officer.  This past September there were more than 30 retirees that attended.  We were further fortunate to have Retired Homicide Detective Arthur Vidler.  Mr. Art retired in 1969 and is now 94 years young.
